A very special extra virgin olive oil from the famed Castillo de Canena estate, who for several years have been working to restore the 'Royal' cultivar. This olive variety is native to the province of Jaén (specifically the Sierra de Cazorla), but fell into sharp decline at the end of the 19th century, almost to the verge of extinction. Castillo de Canena has resurrected it at their family estate.

Castillo de Canena Early Harvest Royal is an intense olive oil with aromatic notes of almond and banana; tasting notes of fresh grass, artichoke and green banana and tropical fruits such as pineapple and kiwifruit. The bitterness and spiciness are smooth and in perfect harmony. Balanced and fresh.
