Organic and Biodynamic Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Andalucía, Spain

Profile: Another absolutely premium EVOO from the Finca la Torre estate in Spain. Produced using biodynamic agricultural methods, which aim to enhance soil fertility and foster a harmonious relationship between the farm’s plants and animals. The Arbequina variety is known for its medium fruitiness, featuring clear notes of green apple and green banana. On the palate, it is sweet with a touch of almond, and a smooth finish.

Tasting notes: Mild fruitiness. Slightly sweet flavor profile with notes of apple, almond, and banana.

Food pairings: Adds complex flavours to all dishes, salads, roast vegetables (toss root vegetables like carrots, parsnips, and sweet potatoes in Finca la Torre Hojiblanca before roasting to enhance their natural sweetness);  use as a finishing oil for grilled vegetables like zucchini, peppers, eggplant to add a fresh and fruity note.

Drizzle over grilled or baked white fish like snapper, terakihi or tuna to complement their delicate flavours. Mix into pasta dishes with shrimp or clams, along with garlic, cherry tomatoes, and fresh parsley. Use it as a finishing oil for grilled or pan-seared steak to add a layer of complexity.

Marinate chicken breasts in the olive oil with garlic, lemon zest, and rosemary before grilling or roasting.

Fantastic with cheese selections, drizzled over the cheese or served alongside for dipping. Complement cured meats like prosciutto, salami, and chorizo with a drizzle of olive oil for added richness.

Serve with fresh, crusty bread as a dipping oil. Add a pinch of sea salt or a sprinkle of herbs like oregano or thyme. Mix into hummus or other Mediterranean dips for an added depth of flavour. Enhance the fresh, vibrant flavors of cold gazpacho soup with a generous drizzle of olive oil.

Use as a finishing touch for all soups.

Use in simple pasta dishes with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and basil. The olive oil will highlight the fresh, bright flavours. Incorporate into homemade pesto with basil, pine nuts, garlic, Parmesan cheese, and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Use in baking to add moisture and a subtle fruity note. Olive oil cakes, especially those with citrus, pair well with Hojiblanca. Drizzle over fresh fruit salads, especially those with berries, peaches, or citrus fruits.
