Cultivar: Monovarietal 100% Hojiblanca
Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Córdoba, Spain. 500 mls.
Profile: Intensely fruity aroma of fresh green olives, highly complex and harmonious, with herbaceous notes of freshly cut hay and wild grass, plus green banana and green almonds. A lighter, sweeter initial taste, with notes of olive leaf, with the medium bitterness and artichoke notes then revealing themselves. A lingering yet balanced spiciness which is characteristic of the Hojiblanca variety.
A very versatile oil that can be used with many dishes - fish, chicken, all vegetable dishes and as a general substitute for butter.
Made from dry-farmed Hojiblanca variety olive groves. Harvested in the second fortnight of October by hand and by shaking.

From the producers: Morellana is the leading brand of Sucesores de Hermanos López, a family business founded in 1918. Their traditional mountain olive grove are set on the high slopes at an altitude of 700 to 1000 meters above sea level. Extraction is carried out no later than 4 hours after harvesting by means of a continuous two-phase centrifugal system.
